\n In partnership with the African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA), Nikat Charitable Association is implementing a six-month initiative to strengthen staff well-being, maintain functional office operations, and ensure smooth administrative processes. \n This plan supports the organization\u2019s mission to advocate for the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of female sex workers (FSWs) while maintaining a resilient and motivated team.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

      Story 1: Sara\u2019s Journey \u2014 From Struggle to Empowerment<\/h4>\n

      \n \u201cMy name is Sara A (name changed).\u201d Born in Debreberhan, Sara\u2019s journey to Addis Ababa was driven by hope and survival. Facing financial hardship, she entered sex work to repay debts but lacked awareness of safe sexual practices.\n Through Nikat\u2019s peer education training, Sara learned about SRHR, HIV prevention, and condom use. Empowered with knowledge and support, she made the bold decision to leave sex work, start her own business, and serve as a peer educator to help other women protect their rights and health.\n <\/p>\n

      \u201cI am proud of how far I\u2019ve come, and I want others to know that change is possible.\u201d \u2014 Sara A<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

      Story 2: Scarred but Unbroken \u2014 Medhanit\u2019s Fight for Survival<\/h4>\n

      \n Medhanit\u2019s life began with unimaginable hardship. Burned as a child, orphaned young, and rejected for her disability, she faced poverty, bullying, and discrimination. By her teens, survival forced her into dangerous labor and, eventually, sex work. \n Even there, rejection followed her \u2014 clients mocked her hand, and hunger pushed her to the brink of despair.\n <\/p>\n

      \n But her story didn\u2019t end there. Nikat Charitable Association helped her regain her strength and purpose. Today, she is a Peer Educator under the Right to Safe Sex Work Project, helping other women access reproductive health services and support networks.\n <\/p>\n
